Digital Awards Update, Alex's New Book

To streamline access, we have removed all digital rewards from Google Drive and added them to BackerKit. If you haven’t already, you can now download your rewards directly from your BackerKit account. This change should make it easier for everyone to access their content. An email was sent earlier today with a link to claim your rewards.
For those who ordered the Digital Role-playing Game Bundle add-on, all files are now available in BackerKit—except for Denizens Reborn. We recently picked up the new Monster Manual and were surprised to find that it doesn’t include monster creation guidelines. Since the 2024 edition changes quite a bit, we need some time to fully understand the updated system, playtest, and balance the creatures. We’re actively working on Denizens Reborn and will provide an update soon.
Alex's new book, Star Wars: The Mask of Fear (Reign of the Empire), launched this past Tuesday and is now available in hardcover and audiobook formats! Pick it up on Amazon or at your favorite book seller.

Shipping Update and Progress on Digital Awards

We hoped to have this update out sooner to let everyone know that all physical rewards had shipped. However, due to the ongoing Canadian Union of Postal Workers strike, the U.S. Postal Service is not accepting international mail destined for Canada.
As of today, it doesn’t appear this strike will end anytime soon, so we wanted to update everyone. All physical rewards—except those bound for Canada—have shipped. For our Canadian backers, all your rewards are packaged and ready to ship as soon as the strike ends.
Violet Dawn: Exile Annotated Completed
We’re excited to announce that the Violet Dawn: Exile Annotated edition is now complete and available for download! You can access it, along with all other digital rewards, via Google Drive using this link.
Denizens Reborn, Digital Role-playing Game Bundle
The final item for this Kickstarter is Denizens Reborn. Initially, we anticipated that the rules for creating monsters would be included in Dungeon Master’s Guide 2024, but full guidelines were not provided.
The Monster Manual 2024 isn’t scheduled for release until February 18th, and it’s unclear if it will include the necessary content. Rather than keep you waiting, we’ll send out the Digital Role-playing Bundle to eligible backers this week. We’ll provide an update on the status of Denizens Reborn in a future post.

Dust Jackets Have Arrived + Austin Book Signing with Alex!

The dust jackets have arrived, and they look great! We’re thrilled with how they turned out and are confident you’ll love them too. As a reminder, anyone who pledged at the Limited Edition level or higher will receive a dust jacket with their copy of Violet Dawn: Exile at no extra cost. We’ve already started packing these orders and expect to have everything finalized and shipped out over the next few days, completing all remaining physical rewards.
On the digital side, Exile Annotated has finished editing and is currently in layout. I'm running a bit behind schedule, but it's about halfway done and it will be available for download next week. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek.
Once Exile Annotated is complete, we'll fully shift our focus to the Digital Role-playing Game Bundle and finalize the conversion of Denizens Reborn. Once that’s wrapped up, we will have fulfilled all remaining commitments for this Kickstarter campaign.
Book Signing This Weekend in Austin, TX!
If you happen to be in Austin this Saturday, November 16th, Alex and I are having a book signing at Dragon's Lair (2438 West Anderson Lane) from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. If you didn’t get a copy of Violet Dawn: Exile during the campaign, we’ll have them available for purchase there. And don’t forget to ask Alex about his new upcoming Star Wars novel, Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear.

Dust Jacket Proof Approved & Deluxe Digital Edition Progress

Just a quick update—we’ve received the digital proof for the dust jacket! The pink lines show where the folds will be, and the crop marks indicate where it will be trimmed.
We’re thrilled with how the proof turned out—the colors look fantastic! We've officially approved it, and the dust jackets have now moved into production.
Our next update will come when the Annotated version of Violet Dawn: Exile is ready for download, which will complete fulfillment for the Deluxe Digital Edition. We’ll follow up once that’s available.

We’re excited to announce that all international orders for Violet Dawn: Exile have been shipped! If you're awaiting your rewards outside the U.S., keep an eye on your inbox for shipping information, and be sure to check your spam folder. With this, all physical rewards for the Print and Signed Edition tiers have now been fulfilled!
We're currently wrapping up the Annotated Exile. It still needs to go through editing and layout, but we expect it to be completed in the next week or two. After that, our focus will shift to Denizens Reborn. We’re awaiting the release of the updated Dungeon Master's Guide on November 12th for the new monster creation guidelines.
For backers in the Limited Edition tier or higher, we'll provide another update with photos and details on the next steps once we receive the printer's proof.
